I have no less than 10 reusable grocery bags and I still use plastic.

Except when I'm at Trader Joe's of course. Who can withstand the pressure of the all those socially conscience blue tree-hugging judgers?

But what about... say Ralphs on Telephone? Can you say, "Bag my pack of gum please", while you fuss with your fake fur lined parka hood?

Communal environments push us. Maybe not in the way Obi-Won tosses roger roger droids but there's a force none the less. A subtle shoving that moves us along and saves us from decisions. Some people get it and react adversely like smokers and aol users while some bubble dwellers just sort of miss the shoving all together in which case they're not reading this. But everyone's in a group, all groups push. Our environment is communal albeit a dysfunctional one.

I like groups that push me in a direction I like to travel, even it they will occasionally annoy me. Because at the end of the day I'm feeling pretty good that I went back out to my car and brought in my full color glossy laminate poly vinyl chloride made in China with the cool sailing vessel logo so as to avoid any carbon in my footprint reusable tote bag.
Thanks Trader Joe's group.
